Typical Mittelland stage: long straight stretches on side roads and cycling paths, nestling in agricultural areas and interrupted by historic small towns which are worth seeing, such as Wangen an der Aare with its famous covered wooden bridge.
Solothurn is well worth seeing! The stage mostly leads directly alongside the Aare. Extensive leisure potential with rest spots for families. The scheduled boats allow short and easy intermediate sections in summer.
The stretch between Biel and Täuffelen is particularly demanding but followed by pure skating pleasure from Hagneck, with speed sections across the «grosse Moos». Take off and fly! The educational vegetable trail makes an ideal fringe programme.
